Sampson was found as a stray and would like to go back home. He was wearing a flea collar when he was found and seems to be in good health.

Kahlua came in as a stray with Whiskey. Please help us find their owners!

Whiskey was found as a stray. He came in with Kahlua. He was adopted from us in 2008. He has a microchip but we are not able to get in touch with the owner because the number has been disconnected. Please call us if you know the owner.

Sammy is a calm and laid back little girl. She is housetrained and gets along with other dogs. She can be a little shy at first but once she gets to know you she is quite the lover. She would be a great lap dog.

Nemo is a handsome boy who does well with other cats and dogs. He was surrendered because his previous owners are no longer able to take care of him.

Cuteness was originally adopted from us at the end of 2007.  She was just brought back to us as a stray and we would like for her to go back home! Contact us if you know her owners.

This handsome fellow was found by a fabulous lady out past skate world on 321.  He is not neutered and is about 2 years old.  He may have been on the road for awhile as he is very thin.  He was not wearing a collar and is not micro chipped.  If this is your boy call Joanne at 828-297-1344.

Karmal and Comet are the sweetest sisters ever! They are very friendly and love to give kisses. They also have the cutest underbites! They came to us from a neglectful situation and are waiting to find a forever loving home.

Mudd came to us after he injured the tip of his tail. The tip was necrotic and had to be amputated. He is a friendly, playful, fun little guy. He is housetrained and good with cats.

Koda is a very smart guy.  He knows sit, down, touch, and is learning shake and spin.  He is crate trained and probably house trained.  He loves being close to his person and is affectionate. 

Rebel is an adorable dog who is very eager to please. He is super smart and loves other dogs.

Bobo was found in Hwy. 321 near Tweetsie Railroad. He is thin and his foot pads are raw from traveling. Bobo was vet checked and has a sprained front leg. A few days of rest, good food, and lots of TLC and he will be back to normal! He would like to find his way back home!

Jane is a fun girl that bonds quickly. She is house trained and crate trained. Jane likes other dogs, cats and gentle children. She would make a great little side kick for someone; she likes to sit on your lap and cuddle. Jane has a cute little nub tail that wags all the time!

This cutie was found as a stray. When Duke was found he was very shy but all that has changed since he has been in his foster home. He is now at our shelter waiting for you to come visit him. He is good with other dogs and likes to play.

Grendle loves to sit in your lap, take walks with kids and loves to play with everyone. Grendle is a very loving little dog. She will go anywhere you go and likes to sleep in bed with her person. Grendle is house trained and crate trained.

Duke was adopted from here as a puppy. He was turned back into us because his owner is moving. Duke is a happy, playful, friendly boy. He is used to a fenced yard and slept in his crate at night. If you like big dogs, Duke would be right for you!

Olivia is a very sweet  girl who just wants someone to love her.  She is crate trained and I suspect house trained.  She prefers going potty in private.  She will sit on your lap and stare lovingly in your eyes for as long as you let her.  Some kind ladies found her with an infected bullet hole in her leg and got her to the safety of Animal Care and Control.  She is in a foster home.  For more information call Joanne at 828-297-1344 or email bouvmom@skybest.com.

Fey likes to give sloppy kisses with that big tongue of hers! She does well with other dogs, is very active and loves to play. Her mom is a German Shepherd and her dad is a Boxer/Lab mix.

Summer loves belly rubs!

Reece was found with an injured foot and has been staying in one of our foster homes. She's crate trained and very friendly. She knows "sit", "down", and "stay". 7/2/2010 Reece ended up having to have her right front leg amputated and is recovering in a foster home. She would love a permanent place to call home!

Robin wondered up to a caring citizen's doorstep, camped out, and after some food and water, decided not to leave.  She was very skinny and had a bad eye infection but after some medicine and TLC she is ready for her new home.  She is a very sweet, gentle little girl who loves to play with other dogs and have her tummy rubbed!

Hannah was found on the Parkway. She's much cuter than her picture shows. Hannah gets along well with other dogs and loves to play.

Summer has had a hard time finding the right fit.  She has been through two homes and through these we have learned that she will need to be the only dog or have a larger male buddy.  She is a very sweet girl and can't wait to find her perfect fit. Summer is crate trained and trained to an invisible fence. She likes kids.

We are working with Joe to get him more socialized. He came from the same home as Lil Doo. Joe ran loose and was not used to being petted. In just one night here he has started playing with a stuffed toy and letting us pet him. His tail is always wagging.

Willie is good with children and other dogs. He has not been around cats. Willie is house trained and friendly. He would do best in a home with other dogs or someone who is home a lot; he does not like to be left alone.

Shep has lived most of his life on a chain with little attention. He is enjoying the pampering he is receiving here. 7/2/2010 Shep is such a great dog. He loves going on walks and all the attention he is getting here. Shep would be a very loyal companion for some lucky person!

Snizzle likes belly rubs! He could also use braces for his underbite :-) He came in with Aslan, Hobo, Loni, Liv, Lukie, Cathy, and Freida.

Q was adopted from here as a puppy. His family moved into an area where he had to be chained when outside and Q was depressed. He is a happy, friendly dog. Q is good with other dogs and house trained.
