Missy came in with Roxy. She is also very sweet and somewhat timid. Missy would love someone to cuddle and love her.

Roxie is a very sweet timid little girl. She deserves a loving home! Roxie came in with Missy. She is good with kids, cats, and other dogs. Roxie is housetrained.

Grant is a very handsome boy. He was found so we are just learning about his personality. Grant seems to like everybody including other dogs.

Palona is pictured in her favorite bed in our office. Her best friend, Leon, has been adopted. Palona loves playing with other small dogs and being held. Palona has an underbite that gives her character!

Monster was found wearing an invisible fence collar. He is very friendly.

Mia was hanging around our shelter for a couple of days before we could coax her to us. She finally came to Nicole and is now our best buddy.

A new picture of Andrew. Isn't he adorable?! We received the following email from the person who adopted Andrew's brother.

3/11/2010- I just wanted to check in about the Boston Terrier mix that's still left, "Andrew". I adopted his littermate "Patrick" a while ago, and I just feel bad that his poor little brother still hasn't found a family. He's such a cute dog - are there any specific reasons why you think he isn't getting adopted? I wish I could take him too but since I can't I'm trying to convince a friend or family member to adopt him.  Maybe a testimonial from the owner of his littermate will help: "Patrick", whom we have renamed "Malakai", is such an amazing little dog! He is a great companion and loves to cuddle up with me, but is also active enough to go on hikes. He has not had a single accident in our home and has taken very well to his crate. He is a very fast learner; it took only two days to teach him to go to the bathroom in one specific area of our yard. He is also really great with kids - we took him to visit my 16-month-old niece for the weekend recently and he was so sweet and gentle with her.

Blackie is a very friendly, smart little guy. He is housetrained and crate trained. Blackie loves playing with other dogs. He also likes to sing.

Indy and Ingrid are Igloo and Ivan's parents.

Finn was transferred to us from Animal Control. He is the coolest dog ever! Finn loves everyone and everything. When Finn gets excited he smiles showing all his teeth.

Jackson was turned in because his owner is moving. He is described as friendly, affectionate, loves to be held, good with other dogs, and loves children. Jackson needs help with house training. He was born with a deformed front leg.

Xena came in with her young puppies in January. Her puppies are weaned so Xena is ready for her forever home. Xena can jump fences. She loves playing with other dogs and would be a great dog to take to the dog park!

Lady was abandoned in a box with her 3 newborn puppies when her family moved several months ago. She is really friendly and loving. Lady does not like to be outdoors in the cold but will go outside to potty. Lady is great with other dogs except around food due to previous neglect. She is very well behaved and craves attention. Lady is good with children and loves car rides.

Shadow is a sweet, shy girl. She is good with kids and other dogs. She would make someone a loyal companion.

Leon and his sister Palona were given up by their owners because they had too many dogs.  They are a little nervous around strangers but warm up quickly.  Leon loves to be held and Palona loves to have her belly rubbed.  Both are good with children. Leon has been adopted!

Dewey is a sweetheart. He gets along with everyone. He was found on Howard's Creek Road. Dewey appears to be housetrained.

Chance came to us very thin. He is doing much better and is ready for his forever home.

Roscoe was turned in because he wouldn't stay in an underground fence. He is good with kids, housetrained, and playful. He would do best in an active home.

Gabby is a sweet little girl. She is good with dogs and cats. Gabby is a little shy in new situations but warms up quickly. She is a great cuddler and tv buddy. Gabby is house trained, leash trained, and crate trained. She would make a great companion for you!

Xena was abandoned when her owner moved. She has 8 beautiful 3 week old puppies with her at our shelter. Xena is a very outgoing, friendly girl. She loves and craves attention. Xena is housetrained. She is looking for a foster home to raise her babies in. If you can offer temporary housing for Xena and her family, please give us a call.

Plowser, possibly the world's largest beagle, is two or three years old.  He
is recovering from surgery on his back leg but is doing very well.  He may
always have a limp but it doesn't slow him down.  He loves people, food,
back rubs, food, belly rubs, food, cuddling with his person, food, napping
in the sun and food.  He is crate trained, knows "take a break" (go
potty)and is just a happy guy.  To avoid future encounters with cars he
needs a fenced yard.

Robin wondered up to a caring citizen's doorstep, camped out, and after some food and water, decided not to leave.  She was very skinny and had a bad eye infection but after some medicine and TLC she is ready for her new home.  She is a very sweet, gentle little girl who loves to play with other dogs and have her tummy rubbed!

Billy looks sad in this picture but he is really a happy dog. He loves playing with other dogs and people. Billy and Betsy are the parents of Hannah (see puppy page).
